Helping Young People Build Confidence and Independence

We support individuals across the lifespan in developing the skills they need to navigate everyday life with greater confidence and independence. Through personalised, goal-focused occupational therapy, we work closely with individuals and their support networks to strengthen practical life skills, participation in daily activities, and overall functional capacity. Our approach is collaborative, structured, and tailored to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.

What Makes Us Unique

At Therapy Meta, our focus is on supporting individuals to build independence, strengthen everyday skills, and increase their capacity to participate in meaningful activities. We believe therapy should empower people to live confidently and engage fully in their communities.

While we recognise that independence and capacity look different for everyone, our approach is to work closely with individuals to understand what matters most to them and support them in achieving their personal goals.

Personalised, Strength-Based Approach

Every young person is different. We focus on individual strengths, interests, and goals to create therapy plans that feel meaningful and motivating.

Family-Centred Support

We work closely with parents, caregivers, and schools to ensure progress continues beyond sessions and into everyday life.

Practical, Real-World Outcomes

Our therapy is goal-focused and designed to build confidence, independence, and skills that make a lasting difference at home, school, and in the community.

Who I Am

Evidence-Based Therapy in a Safe, Supportive Space

Jonathan Oyerinde is a dedicated occupational therapist passionate about supporting individuals in achieving greater independence and improved quality of life. Based in Bega Valley, NSW, Jonathan brings almost a decade of experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), particularly through the Local Area Coordination (LAC) program.

Before completing his Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy, Jonathan played a key role in the rollout of the NDIS LAC program across the Southern NSW and Illawarra region in New South Wales. Through this work, he gained practical experience assisting people with disabilities in navigating the NDIS system, understanding their funding, and accessing the support they need. Jonathan’s leadership within LAC teams further strengthened his ability to work collaboratively, advocate strongly, and deliver person-centred outcomes for participants facing various challenges.

Jonathan’s professional journey reflects his belief in empowering individuals. His experience supporting people through complex NDIS pathways has given him a unique insight into the barriers individuals and families often encounter. He approaches each client with understanding, patience, and respect.

Now, as an Occupational Therapist, Jonathan combines his broad background in disability support with his clinical skills to offer personalised therapy services. He is passionate about helping clients build everyday skills, enhance participation in community life, and achieve their personal goals—whether these goals relate to self-care, mobility, employment, education, or broader life goals.

Jonathan continues to engage in ongoing clinical supervision to ensure continuity of learning and professional growth. He stays informed of current best practices and ensures his supports meet high clinical standards. His commitment to professional development means that every service delivered is aligned with the latest evidence-based approaches and meets the unique needs of each participant.

Jonathan’s approach is always collaborative, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive, ensuring each client’s voice and choice are central to the therapy journey.

Outside of his professional work, Jonathan enjoys staying active, connecting with community events, and continuing his learning journey to better support the people he works with.

Jonathan believes that with the proper support, everyone can grow, develop, and live a meaningful life.

Employment Capacity Building

We support individuals in understanding their strengths, challenges, and employment goals, breaking down barriers into manageable steps to build confidence and work readiness. We focus on practical skill development, helping individuals feel prepared and capable in the workplace.

Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)

Our comprehensive assessments evaluate an individual’s physical, cognitive, and functional abilities by observing them in different real-life environments, such as their home, school, workplace, or community. This allows us to recommend tailored strategies that improve their daily participation.

Employment Assessments

Our employment assessments are client-centred, focusing on an individual’s strengths, challenges, and goals. We help individuals identify barriers to employment and break them down into small, achievable steps, supporting their work readiness and confidence.
